First Aid at Work
Duration: 18 hours over 3 days
This course is perfect if you wish to become a qualified first aider to provide First Aid in the work environment. Additionally, It delivers compliance with the The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations to individuals and companies.
This course is for individuals who are required to act as an Emergency First Aider at Work with the emphasis on preventing situations from becoming worse and maintaining life until help arrives.
The course is suitable for pre-school staff, nursery staff, teachers, teaching assistants, play workers, holiday camp workers, parents and toddler group volunteers, child minders and nannies, foster carers, au-pairs, mothers, community helpers, babysitters, community workers, parents and grandparents.
This course provides essential first aid information for nannies, aupairs, parents and anyone who care for children and needs a basic course. It meets the guidelines set out by Ofsted for nannies wishing to join the voluntary part of the childcare register.
CFT specialise in training which is adapted specifically for dental practices and aimed at the entire Dental Team. The training can be tailored to your specific requirements but will typically be in line with the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines and includes Basic Life support and Common Medical Emergencies. Completion will earn 3-4 hours verifiable CPD.
This course is suitable for anyone who may be called on to use an automated external defibrillator and teaches the skills required to give confidence to know what to do in this kind of emergency. Typically this would include: Medical and Dental professionals; leisure centre employees; facilities management employees and employees of any establishment which has an AED on site.
The HSE strongly recommends that individuals qualified in First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work undergo this 3 hour first aid refresher training course annually to ensure they are up to date with current procedures and to keep their knowledge and skills fresh.
